Dietz Communications (DC) will validate the MPLS pricing that your MPLS providers bill you for each month for MPLS VPN services. We will detect hidden bill errors by validating the actual MPLS pricing for each component of your MPLS network including Class of Service (CoS) and access circuit charges with our MPLS VPN bill management services.
MPLS providers have a pricing structure for MPLS network services that includes a cost for the access circuit and the port speed. The MPLS pricing structure also includes a cost for advanced services as well as for what is referred to as the CoS profile. MPLS network advanced services can include network based firewalls, Internet access and IP multicast and in almost all cases there will be a separate charge for each of these MPLS network advanced services.
MPLS pricing from your MPLS providers can be difficult to validate because there are so many different CoS traffic classes to review, for example the Verizon MPLS network service is comprised of five traffic classes, while the AT&T MPLS network service offering is comprised of four traffic classes. However, both companies allow further sub-categorization of some of their MPLS network service classes. As a result, the Verizon MPLS network service offering supports eight service levels and the AT&T MPLS network service offering supports six service levels.
DC will validate the MPLS pricing for all of your MPLS providers and determine if the service levels promised by the MPLS providers are billing correctly. The DC MPLS VPN Bill management service ensures that applications are assigned to the CoS that they are contracted for and if there is an error in the bill, DC will contact the carrier to open a billing ticket to have the CoS charges corrected and any overcharges returned to your company.
